At this stage in my life, I’ve come to deeply value my time and independence—seeking out interests that allow me to express myself authentically, free from outside noise.
The story of Padel y Pala didn't start in a boardroom; it started at my favourite weekend brunch spot. Sitting there with my wife and family—surrounded by the usual weekend swell of lifestyle tees and activewear—my eyes caught a man across the room wearing a shirt that read "The Padel Dad." In that same café, an ex-Newcastle and Premier League footballer is a regular, and he happens to be a keen padel player himself.
It seemed like a series of fleeting details, but something quiet shifted. My mind began turning. Over the next week, ideas were keeping me up at night—my sleep quality dropped by 20% as concepts raced through my head. By the following weekend, while my wife had a weekend shift at the hospital, I was back at that same café, table for one, sketching graphics for back-print tees, a style I’ve personally lived in year-round for as long as I can remember.
In a burst of creative momentum, 6 or 7 design concepts and a logo were born. Within days, the website was built and the foundation was laid. Padel y Pala was no longer just an idea; it was alive.
HERITAGE & INGENUITY
The name Padel y Pala is a nod to where it all began—paying homage to the sport's origins in Mexico and its subsequent rise in Spain. It honors both the game's rich roots and the distinct, clever design of the pala itself.
Beyond the court, falling in love with padel came naturally through its dynamic energy and the holistic health benefits it brings to everyday life.
